BIOLINE – biological waste water treatment equipment
Application field
The BIOLINE waste water treatment plants are designed for domestic waste water treatment in case the centralized sewerage system is unavailable. The facilities demanding BIOLINE plants installation are:
- Cottages, dwellings and apartment buildings;
- Boarding houses, health resorts and recreation centers;
- Restaurants, hotels, camping sites;
- Storehouses, office buildings, industrial buildings;
- Maintenance stations, fuel stations, etc;
- Settlements and urban districts.
Domestic waste water means sewage from the kitchen, water closets, showers, dishwashers and laundry machines. Sewage with high content of chemically active substances, rubble and swimming pool water are not allowed to waste into BIOLINE plants.
Description
The Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine Company produces the compact and profit-proved equipment for biological waste water treatment – BIOLINE– with capacity from 0,3 to 100 cubic meters. The BIOLINEplants are produced according to ТУ У 29.2-20236199-001-2003 developed by the specialists of our company, and are approved with Sanitary and Hygienic Finding №05.03.02-04/11745 dated 28 mar 2003. The BIOLINEwaste water treatment plants are designed for domestic waste water treatment in case the centralized sewerage system is unavailable or its connection is unreasonable. The purified water can be used for sprinkling of green plantations, washing of foot walks and alleys; the water surplus can be drained into a drainage system or to a basin.
The BIOLINEplant is a polypropylene tank divided by partitions into primary settling, air tank and secondary settling. The tank is covered by a lid with hatches for maintenance, treatment control and sampling of purified water. The air is supplied by the compressor installed to the compressor box straight close to the plant or separately in the utility room, garage, etc.
Operation principle
Waste water discharges into a primary settling where floating contaminants and heavy ingredients are separated gravitationally and are stabilized by anaerobic process. Pre-purified waste water then flows to an air tank where is injected with air supplied by compressor and dispersed by the bottom oxygenators. The oxygenation process is low-duty, which ensures the activated sludge stabilization, high effectiveness of water treatment and low quantity of surplus sludge. After oxygenation the water flows into a secondary settling where purified water and sludge are separated. The settled sludge is pumped by the airlifts to an air tank and to the primary settling; this provides secondary settling’s cleaning from accumulated sludge, recirculation of activated sludge in the system and surplus sludge movement to the accumulator section in a primary settling.
Installation
Usually the waste water treatment equipment is installed beyond ground level to a concrete footing with the discrepancy from horizontality no more than 5 mm on 2 m of length. The foundation pit’s pockets must be refilled with gravel, slug, sand or ground. The refilling is conducted simultaneously with equipment’s filling with water. There is no need in concreting the plant’s walls. In case the subsoil water’s exit is possible, the measures against surfacing of the plant should be assumed, namely the concreting of plant’s case with thin layer of concrete, using the case walls as a curb.
Exploitation
The exploitation of BIOLINE equipment consists of plant’s provision with waste water supply, purified water discharge to the drainage system, to a basin, relief or for technical needs; and connection of compressor to a power supply. The engaging and shutdown of a plant is engaging and shutdown of the compressor. The plant’s operation mode is long-term and continuous. In case the automatic shutdown or engagement is needed (maintenance staff unavailable) the timer is linked up to the electric circuit. There are no moving parts in a plant, therefore special technical maintenance is not needed. Occasionally (one or two times a year) there is a need in pumping out and removal of stabilized surplus sludge to the waste station or in discharging it to a compost pit.

The Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine Company also manufactures the BIOLINE waste water treatment equipment in cylindrical form for installation to the concrete cylinders (daily waste water supply 0,6 – 3,75 cub.m/24h). Depending on the specific features of certain waste treatment project and specific demands on treatment quality, the treatment equipment may include:
- Accumulator tank for purified water with pump.
- Additional deep waste treatment stage. Applies in case of purified water discharge into a basin, for water sprinkling or on the relief;
- Waste water disinfection system;
- Relift station with submersible sanitary pump;
- Electronic system of waste water treatment and waste recycling econtrol;
