Coalescent oil-catchers

Application field

Coalescent oil-catchers made by Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine Company are designed for separation of hydrocarbons with temperature of boiling 170°С and density up to 0,95 g/cm3, such as gasoline, kerosene, solar oil and automobile or industrial oil.Practical use of the oil-catcher is clearing rain drains or other drains containing mineral oil, on parking places, gas stations, car washes, maintenance stations, oil storehouses, etc. In an oil-catcher it is impossible to process emulsified kind drains, containing stiffening substances, and also economic-household drains.Coalescent oil-catcher is issued according to Standard 29.2-32192932-003-2005, the sanitary-and-hygienic conclusion of Ministry of Health of Ukraine №6036 from 16.02.2005

Description

Coalescent oil-catcher consists of compact polypropylene container divided by partitions on 2 functional compartments: a primary sediment bowl (a heat-sink compartment) and coalescent compartment with an automatic shutter which is locked at the high content of mineral oil in drains.

Operation principle

Sewage flow into a heat-sink compartment where heavy insoluble impurity precipitate, and easy-separated floating fractions are delayed with immersion wall. Thus the first step of clearing is carried out. The second step of clearing is carried out in coalescent loose leaf with an automatic shutter. Sewage proceed through a porous material of the cylindrical loose leaf in which integration and separation of oil fractions is carried out, which emerge on a surface, and the cleared water proceeds through the central part of the loose leaf and an automatic shutter in allocating separation pipe and further in the water drain.

Installation

Coalescent oil-catcher is installed below a level of the ground on the prepared concrete basis with a discrepancy from horizontality within the limits of 5mm at length 2m with the subsequent backfilling with gravel granulated by slag by sand or simply ground. Bitstone it is made in parallel with filling an oil-catcher with water.
In case of installation in places where the underground waters exit is possible, it is necessary to arrange against deflection of an oil-catcher. For this purpose it is recommended to concrete the case of installation by a thin layer of concrete, using its walls as a timbering.

OPERATION

The supply of sewage occurs by gravity. The attendants make visual control of а Coalescent Oil Separator (COS) over definition of amount of the separated mineral oil and a deposit. Coalescent leaf can be restored by washing by pure water. At accumulation of mineral oil they are necessary for removing pumping out in suitable capacity with the subsequent delivery for processing.

PARAMETERS OF QUALITY OF CLEARING

In coalescent oil-catcher is supposed to bring drains with the maintenance (contents) of mineral oil up to 1000 mg/l. The maintenance (contents) of mineral oil in drains after clearing no more than 5 mg/l.
For decrease (reduction) in concentration of mineral oil in drains up to values less than 0,2 mg/l are necessary to establish(install) additional adsorptive filter.
