Programs and conceptions for water treatment and water disposal are focused on water usage problems of a community or agglomeration with integral infrastructure of water intake, consumption and disposal. The programs are conceptual products designed as the wholesome fundamental projects for providing a community with water of suitable quality and for subsequent execution’s investment assessment and attraction. The principal aim of such programs is the analysis of actual water consumption infrastructure’s state, and creation of a complete reconstruction project to reach the required water quality parameters. The process of creating the program starts from initial data collection and analysis, through tasks consideration and choosing principal solutions, to the detailed technical project and assessment of financial provision for the project’s implementation. As a result, the community is given the report containing all the data collected, technical and financial data, project recommendations and administrative inquiries’ projects. With these professional and structured recommendations the community obtains the opportunity to implement water treatment and disposal programs in a most suitable way, to report them to the state or financial institutions to mobilize investments, and make decisions on their own behalf with regard to their water consumption. The company provides the community with consultative and technical support on any stage of the co-operation.

The company designs and executes the turnkey projects projects for water storage, treatment and discharge for community facilities (e. g. residential houses, temporary dwellings, military bases, touristic infrastructure etc.).) and industrial facilities, as a part of a program as described above, or as a distinct project. The company secures execution of all the project’s stages or partially, according to the customer’s tasks. In the projects we’ve completed, including the Zmeiiny Island, the Beskid tunnel, camps for displaced persons, condominiums – the technical solutions for potable water supply, water towers’ reconstruction and rejuvenation, water communications’ repair and relaying, and waste water treatment stations’ installation and reconstruction have been performed, tested and successfully launched into operation.

For safe storage of large volume of water the company installs clean water reservoirs (CWRs) – reinforced concrete constructions lined with polyethylene.. This reservoir design is the most effective one at present time in terms of longevity and sanitary compatibility with large volumes of potable water.

The technology implies using polyethylene rolls with anchor profile installed before filling the concrete, which provides surface protection and integrity of the whole reservoir. In present time, the building of CWR with volume of 150 000 cubic meters using this technology is being performed in Qatar, which is the peak volume for a single reservoir and displays the potential of this solution.

The local solution for water storage is the polymeric tanks made of materials certified for potable water storage. These tanks are also resistant to chemical impact and sanitarily compatible to potable water and foodstuff. The welded tanks made of sheet polypropylene and polyethylene are the most widely applied and proved solutions.

The main advantages of welded polymeric tanks are:

  • Minimum limitations in shape, size and design;
  • Longevity;
  • Possibility of assembly in situ, which allows tank assembly in areas with limited access and optimum use of space.

Household wastewater treatment. Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine designs, manufactures and installs household wastewater treatment systems since 2002 under the registered BIOLINE trademark. With over 400 stations installed and working in Ukraine only BIOLINE is the established solution for household wastewater treatment.

The company’s inventions in design and manufacturing of the wastewater treatment systems found state support, and the experience of using treated water for forest and parkland zones irrigation in the recreational regions has been recognized as successful and recommended for any recreational regions.

The BIOLINE wastewater treatment stations are manufactured in series according to Ukrainian production and ecological standards. Designed implementations can be subsurface, partially underground or on-ground, the units are made of polypropylene, polyethylene or concrete.

The scope of wastewater treatment stations consists of series BIOLINE, BIOLINE-S with SB reactor and BIOLINE-M with MB reactor.

The treatment technology used in BIOLINE series is a combination of mechanical and biological treatment methods. The stations work in extended aeration mode with implementation of nitrification and denitrification. The resulting treatment matches the existent ecological quality targets and sanitary and hygienic standards. The simplicity of construction and maintenance make for the advantage of this technology.

The BIOLINE-S series implies sequencing batch reactor (SBR) and uses the aerobic biological treatment principle with active sludge separation and settling processes in one volume, by means of consecutive filling cycles, controlled pulsed aeration, sedimentation, clean water discharge and surplus sludge removal. Relatively compact stations and high treatment efficiency are the main advantages of this method. These stations are more demanding to operational parameters management.

The BIOLINE-M series implies membrane biological reactors (MBR), which use membranes and inherent processes as the separation method.

Municipal wastewater treatment

Municipal wastewater contains household, as well as rainfall and industrial wastewater in different proportions. Waste water treatment on a municipal scale requires larger project work and while basing on the same principle of combination of mechanical and biological treatment it includes sedimentation stations and collectors, reservoirs, pump stations, pipelines and structural design elements. Each case is subject to thorough process calculations and determination of resulting solutions with the customers. The company possesses innovative solutions, resources and experience to deal with these tasks. As the practice shows, local treatment stations are not an alternative to centralized communal treatment facilities, but significantly broaden the capability for water infrastructure protection and ecology improvement in the community.

That’s the reason for the company to implement different technologies for contamination protection, including both centralized and local solutions which form the modular and adaptive system of municipal wastewater treatment.

For household wastewater treatment the company uses local systems of biological treatment of own manufacture, and performs construction and reconstruction of centralized treatment facilities. The use of local systems helps prevent the influx of uncontrolled wastewater into the centralized sewer network even in dense urban areas.

Surface wastewater, including rainfall, snowmelt and wash wastewater is the source of petroleum products, heavy and toxic substances contamination. These issues require systematic and professional solutions for discharge pipelines’ networks laying and subsequent wastewater treatment prior to discharge in water. Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine designs and executes these solutions.

One of the solutions widely used is the coalescent petroleum products’ separation (CPS). The separators are designed by Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian production and ecological standards and can be used as independent equipment for waste water treatment, including surface water treatment, or as standard part of large-scale treatment system.

Gas stations, parking lots, petroleum processing plants and storage facilities, machine-building plants are the main users of CPS. Over 100 stations have been installed by Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine and are in operation to the day.

CPS’ flow rates range from 5 to 200 liters per second, which allows surface water treatment from territories from 410 to 18000 square meters. CPS can be designed in multiple treatment stages depending on required treatment depth.

Industrial wastewater treatment

Another field of Ekoplast Stancl Ukraine’s experience is design, manufacturing and implementation of high-efficiency technologies and equipment for wastewater treatment on industrial enterprises’ water discharge facilities.

The variety of industrial waste water’s contaminating factors, the difficulty of their removal with traditional treatment methods, water supply specialties and significant concentrations’ fluctuation demand a variety and right combination of existent methods along with constant research for new methods of treatment, including processing of resulting sludge and solids.

The company’s specialists use complex approach to industrial waste water treatment systems’ design. These systems for food industry, metallurgy, machine building, agricultural enterprises are our experience and knowledge.

In general, the basic treatment methods we use are:

  • Mechanical (settling and filtration, including membrane systems);
  • Chemical (neutralization, chemical sedimentation, oxidizing);
